Deep crimson with a dark, concentrated core. A big, bold, richly worked Merlot. Dark redcurrant, spice and assertive oak from the outset. Nothing soft or simple here.

Layered, rich and full of character. Redcurrant and rhubarb move into caramel chocolate, root vegetables, earth, cloves and liquorice bullets. A fine line of Blue Pyrenees minerality keeps it focused through the richness. Dusty oak builds on the finish, adding structure and savoury complexity. 

Well worked, and seemingly pushed into a more powerful, serious style. It works. Rich, structured and distinctive, with impressive depth and persistence.
