Deep ruby-crimson in colour, the nose is classic MR with blackcurrant and cassis at the core, supported by mulberry, cedar, bay leaf and a light tobacco note. A touch of dark chocolate and dried herb also. On the palate it has real depth with dark berry fruits running through the middle, carried by fine tannins and bright acidity. It’s bold with graphite, cocoa and savoury spices adding layers of interest, while the oak sits comfortably in the background. It builds nicely and finishes long with excellent balance. The flavour profile is mouth puckering and everlasting.
