McLaren Vale Cabernet with sea air in it. Currant and cocoa, not green, not jammy. Deep maroon. Blackcurrant, tobacco and chocolate, then coffee bean, dried herb and liquorice. Solid and savoury. Cassis through the middle, a little clove and earth underneath, sleek tannin and a dusty dry finish that says Cabernet without trying too hard.
