Deep garnet with a crimson edge. Blackcurrant, cassis and ripe blackberry sit at the core, backed by cedar, tobacco leaf and dried herbs. Dark chocolate and graphite add layers, while the Merlot brings a nice lift of plum and black cherry. On the palate the black fruit is concentrated and the tannins are fine and polished. The Merlot adds supple texture and richness, and hints of cocoa, cedar and savoury spice carry through a long, balanced finish.
