Neldner Road ‘Western Ridge’ Shiraz 2023, Barossa Valley

Neldner Road ‘Western Ridge’ Shiraz 2023, Barossa Valley

Sourced from mature Barossa Valley vineyards (30+ years old) with the majority located along the region’s North-Western ridge in Marananga and Seppeltsfield. Grape parcels are vinified separately in concrete vats, before being basket pressed and assembled into large format 4,500 litre French oak foudres for 18 months maturation.

Deep crimson. This sits firmly in the savoury camp. Earth, dried herbs, leather, tobacco, dark spice and roasted coffee. Rustic and already developed. Savoury tannin gives it shape, the finish gently drying. Evolution, texture and secondary complexity, and that is the appeal. An earthy, mature Barossa Shiraz for the table.

Vino Masters Score: 95/100 ★★★★★ Savoury western Barossa. Earth, leather, roasted coffee and a savoury close.
