Deep ruby. Aromas of red cherry and dark plum are layered with nutmeg, Sichuan spice, dried herbs and savoury notes of fresh earth. The palate is vibrant and velvety led by juicy red and green cherry fruit and a fine spicy edge. Medium-bodied and finely balanced, it delivers bright cherry and plum purity with gentle spice, gravelly tannins and a fresh line of acidity that keeps the wine lively. The texture is smooth and flowing, with excellent fruit clarity and a long savoury finish. Best enjoyed with slow cooked lamb shoulder, pearl barley and root vegetables.
