Yangarra Estate Grown Blewitt Springs GSM 2023

The GSM blend shows touches of oak, blueberry, raspberry, and ripe, savoury fruits, with Grenache (43%), Shiraz (34%) and Mataro (23%) contributing brightness, weight and earth respectively. Well-made and clean, the wine sits stylistically closer to a straightforward dry red than the lifted, energetic purity showcased in their varietal releases. There is finesse, and the fruit is sound, finishing with a fresh line of acidity. Double decanting is strongly recommended as the wine really opens up with time.
