Deep crimson with a dense purple core. Ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, then liquorice, vanilla, black pepper and white pepper.

Full and generous. Concentrated dark fruit, firm tannins, acid in the right place. Oak brings mocha, spice and savoury depth without sitting on the fruit. Fresh, crunchy, with a savoury mid-palate and a rustic sweetness that reminds me of Dave Powell’s wines. Long finish of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and both peppers. Barossa grunt with a savoury edge.
