The Thief? Shiraz 2024, Barossa Valley

I drive past this vineyard on the way to the Greenock pub. Attention to detail is obvious. Slight easterly aspect. Freshness and definition. Western ridges. Rustic, energetic. The sort of Shiraz we like with Tame Impala.

Bright and expressive. Cherry, plum and rhubarb, then blackcurrant once the ripeness lands. Picked in the sweet spot. Moreish and spicy. Fruit talking, oak quiet. Long savoury finish, dark chocolate underneath. Fresh. Full of personality. Nicely done.
