Willespie Homestead Margaret River Red 2019

56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc

Vineyard
Estate-grown, dry-grown fruit from Willespie's Wilyabrup and Dawson Creek vineyard. No irrigation, all Estate grown

Winemaking
Fermented on skins for 12 days. Basket pressed. Matured 18 months in French oak, 15% new.

Deep ruby-garnet with developing brick-red hues. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry are complemented by cedar, dried herbs, tobacco and subtle earthy spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, combining generous dark fruit with savoury, finely textured tannins. Merlot provides a rounded, plush mid-palate, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and length, with Cabernet Franc contributing a subtle herbal lift. Mature French oak sits comfortably beneath the fruit, leading to a long, balanced finish of cassis, cedar and spice.

Vino Masters Score: 95/100 ★★★★★ A beautifully balanced Margaret River red offering impressive depth and complexity.

Excellent Value @ $30 RRP and with 7 years of age!
