Bright, translucent ruby with real energy in the glass. The aromatics are delicate showing raspberry, red cherry and a touch of darker plum, lifted by dried herbs, rose petal and a subtle earthy spice. Medium-bodied and finely balanced. Pure red and dark berry fruit rides over fine, chalky tannins and fresh acidity, with a clear mineral line running through the mid-palate. Savoury notes and gentle spice build on a clean, persistent finish. It’s restrained rather than showy, with the elegance and precision that mark Alkina’s best work.
