1847 Wines Grand Pappy’s Shiraz 2022, Barossa Valley

1847 Wines Grand Pappy’s Shiraz 2022, Barossa Valley

Rich, robust and still a bit wound up. Big Barossa with a savoury streak, and it wants a few years. Deep and dense. Ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, then spice, liquorice, sarsaparilla and that Coca-Cola lift. Full-bodied and tightly packed. Dark fruit wrapped around savoury spice, dark chocolate, cola, anise and seasoned oak. Firm, youthful tannin, long warming spicy finish. Intensity is all there.

Vino Masters Score: 96/100 ★★★★★ Dense, savoury, one for the cellar.
