Deep garnet with a developing brick-red rim. The bouquet shows classic mature Wilyabrup Cabernet character tobacco leaf, dried herbs, cedar and dark chocolate. Subtle tertiary earthy and savoury notes have begun to emerge beautifully with bottle age. The palate is medium bodied with savoury tannins providing a silky framework around concentrated Cabernet fruit. Fine acidity maintains freshness, while integrated French oak adds depth with with redcurrant, blackcurrant and dark cherry. The finish is long leaving cassis, graphite, cedar and savoury spice.
