Kilikanoon Morrison Shiraz Cabernet 2021, Clare Valley

Deep crimson with a dense purple core. Ripe red berries, blackberry and plum, then peppery spice, dried herbs, graphite and a little cedar. Great Aussie claret.

Full flavoured. Loads of red berry fruit, oak rising up and spreading forward. Reminds me of Christmas Day and the fruit cake, very much a vintage port echo. Shiraz brings richness and spice, Cabernet brings cassis, structure and definition. Fine persistent tannin, bright acid, savoury oak through the middle. Long rich finish of spiced dried fruit and lingering tannin. An old-school weapon with lashes and lashes of flavour.
