Incygnes Cordis Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley

Incygnes means “gem” in Latin, while Cordis means “of the heart”, making it quite literally a gem from the heart of the Barossa Valley.

Dark core, bright red rim. Whisky-barrel character through blackberry, red liquorice bullets, caramel, dark currant and warm spice.

Full, powerful, deeply flavoured. Blackberry, black satsuma plum, black cherry and cassis at the heart. Liquorice, high-cocoa chocolate, caramel and savoury spice. Lively acid. Very fine tannin.

Serious weight, still with energy. Long finish of dark plum, black cherry, cassis and chocolate.
