The nose is lifted and complex, with intense blackberry, dark plum and mulberry compote, layered with dark chocolate, liquorice, cracked pepper, violet and subtle toasty oak. On the palate this is a powerful, rich and beautifully structured Clare Valley. Plush dark fruit sits at the core, interwoven with espresso, savoury spice, mint and fine, velvety tannins that provide serious grip and impressive length, with minerality and earth. Bright acidity keeps the wine fresh and energetic, while the finish is long, harmonious and full of character.
