Greenock Creek Third Estate Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley

Greenock Creek Third Estate Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley

Inky and dark in colour. This is Barossa Shiraz with its chest out; blackberry, plum and licorice turned up loud, backed by spice, cedar and a slab of dark chocolate.

The palate doesn’t hold back. Big, dense waves of dark fruit crash through, wrapped in firm tannins and slick oak. There’s muscle here, but it’s not clumsy; more heavyweight boxer than bar brawler. Everything lands with purpose.

The finish just keeps rolling; spice, chocolate and red fruits, long after you think it should’ve called it a day.

A full-throttle Barossa statement. Not subtle, not shy, and all the better for it.

Epic Barossa vintage + epic wine.
