Earth's End Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

Bright ruby with garnet reflections at the edges, this Central Otago Pinot has settled nicely into its middle years. Aromas of ripe red cherry, raspberry and plum are complemented by black tea, warm spice and a subtle earthy complexity.

On the palate there is real texture and plenty of fine tannin, giving the wine grip and structure. Bright acidity lifts the juicy fruit, while a mineral and savoury thread runs through to a long finish. It’s a proper, authentic Pinot Noir with the backbone to reward a bit of time in the glass or cellar.
