Deep crimson with youthful purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum are supported by licorice, dark chocolate and cracked black pepper. Sourced from two mature Barossa vineyards with vines ranging from 40 to over 50 years of age, the wine carries impressive concentration and regional character. Fermented with 15% whole bunches and natural yeasts before spending 10 months in seasoned 300L French oak barrels, it delivers generous flavours of blackberry, blueberry and dark plum. Fine tannins provide structure, while notes of cocoa and spice build through the palate. Bottled without fining and with minimal filtration, the finish is fresh, long and modern.
