From a cooler Eden Valley vintage, this shows a concentration and chocolate richness that still manages to surprise, even when you thought you knew what was coming.

Deep colour. The nose shows red and dark currant fruit with a thread of richness and well-judged oak. The palate is concentrated and perfectly balanced. Red currant fruits sit over chocolate richness and finely integrated oak, with a sense of poise. The finish is slightly savoury, clean and full.

I just love Eden Valley wines and this one is a ripper!
