Deep, opaque crimson with a dark purple core. Blackberry, black plum and blueberry jump out straight away, along with cracked black pepper and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and textured, packed with concentrated dark fruit. Velvety tannins and well-integrated oak give it shape, while mocha, star anise and savoury spice come through as it opens. There’s plenty of life and freshness.

Paul Gordon has made another great drinking Shiraz. Impressive stuff.
