La Vicomte Authentique Chardonnay 2025, Pays d'Oc
Pale gold with bright straw reflections. White peach, nectarine and lemon curd jump out of the glass, backed by subtle vanilla and toasted almonds. The palate is medium to full-bodied and generous, with ripe stone fruit, a lovely creamy texture and just enough citrus acidity to keep everything fresh. The gentle oak adds a nutty complexity. Loads of flavour and a robust structure; this is a proper food wine, made for roast chook with all the trimmings.
