Welland ‘Old Hands’ Shiraz 2022 Barossa SA

Dense in colour and commanding in presence, this is an intense, fruit-driven and age worthy Barossa Shiraz. Layered dark fruit is supported by savoury spice and well-integrated oak, delivering depth, structure and complexity. The palate is rich and concentrated with dark fruits, black pepper, mocha, earthy undertones and minerality, showcasing classic Barossa Shiraz character with clear cellaring potential.

Recommendation: Decant for 30 minutes prior to serving.

Vino Masters Score: 97 / 100
★★★★★ Serious Barossa Shiraz with depth, power and a confident structure.
Drink now and cellar to 2040
RRP: $70 – Amazing value.

Winemaking notes:
18 months in American oak barrels, 40% new, a combination of fruit from the 103-year-old Welland vineyard and grower fruit. We buy grapes in addition to fruit from our own vineyard – the name ‘Old Hands’ acknowledges many grape growers in Barossa are generational and have decades of experience and knowledge.
