Lienert Vineyards ‘Western Frontier’ Shiraz 2023

Bright crimson with a solid core. The aromatics are expressive, showing red berries, cinnamon, plum and cherry, with an earthy savoury edge.

The palate is medium to full bodied, with redcurrant fruit layered with spice, liquorice bullets, dark chocolate and fine minerality. Savoury tannins provide structure, while the oak is well judged, adding another dimension through the mid-palate and into the finish without overwhelming the fruit.

Textural, full-flavoured and well balanced, with good persistence and a distinctive blue gum character lingering through the finish.
