Tin Shed Single Wine Shiraz 2024, Eden Valley
Tin Shed Single Wine Shiraz 2024, Eden Valley
Sometimes, when you’re surrounded by something special, you don’t fully appreciate just how good it is until you step away.
I was first introduced to Eden Valley Shiraz back in 1992 by the late Bob McLean, and it left a lasting impression on me.
Eden Valley is a remarkable place to grow Shiraz. Diverse microclimates, ancient gum trees some 400 years old, and rugged granite outcrops. The intensity, concentration and distinctive character of Eden Valley Shiraz is quite outstanding.
The Tin Shed Single Wire Shiraz 2024 is another fine example of why we hold this region in such high regard.
From the riper 2024 vintage, the fruit takes on a darker, richer personality, yet there is a wonderful undercurrent of fresh blue fruits that brings energy and life to the wine.
The palate builds beautifully, with generous dark cherries and rich black fruits woven through charry oak, dark chocolate, mocha, liquorice bullets and an intriguing array of spices and savoury nuances.
Bold and generous, full-bodied and richly textured, with a mouthfilling intensity that continues to build across the palate. Yet beneath all that power lies a lovely freshness that keeps the wine alive and balanced.
This is Eden Valley Shiraz at its most compelling. Powerful, deeply flavoured and wonderfully expressive. A wine that reminds me just how special this region really is.
