Opaque crimson-purple. Intensely perfumed aromas of blackberry, blueberry and satsuma plum are interwoven with dark chocolate, liquorice, black pepper and finely integrated French oak. Layers of spice, graphite and subtle floral notes add remarkable depth, reflecting the concentration expected from exceptional old vines.

The palate is powerful delivering wave after wave of pristine black fruits supported by seamless tannins and beautifully judged acidity. Notes of cocoa, mocha, star anise and savoury spice build steadily before an exceptionally long finish displaying outstanding concentration, balance and finesse.
