Growing up as a kid around this vineyard from one of the Barossa’s most revered vineyard sites. The 2022 Schild MOOROOROO Shiraz is a wine of extraordinary concentration, balance and presence. Deeply coloured and brooding, the nose reveals black cherry, mulberry, espresso and dark chocolate, lifted by graphite, thyme and subtle roasted spice. The palate is immense yet impeccably controlled with a core of dense black fruits cascading across the tongue, framed by fine-grained tannins and perfectly judged oak. There’s tension and symmetry here: richness countered by purity, power aligned with poise. The finish is seemingly endless, resonating with dark fruits, spice and mineral precision.
