Brothers at War Pendee Farm Shiraz 2024

Brothers at War Pendee Farm Shiraz 2024

Barossa Valley, South Australia

Sourced from the Pendee Farm Vineyard, planted in the 1960s and celebrated for its distinctive soils and unique microclimate.

Crimson in colour with a subtle brown hue, revealing attractive aromas of dark plum, black cherry, raspberry and lifted violets, complemented by hints of liquorice and savoury spice.

The palate is wonderfully soft and lively, with luscious dark fruits dominating alongside red liquorice, liquorice bullets and ripe plum. There is a beautiful generosity to the fruit, supported by soft, velvety tannins that gradually push forward, bringing an appealing savoury dimension. The balance is excellent, with freshness and gentle acidity keeping the richness in check. Surprisingly, there is no overt oak influence, allowing the purity of fruit and savoury complexity to shine.

A real delight! This is a beautifully crafted Barossa Shiraz, luscious and generous yet wonderfully gentle, with an attractive interplay between dark fruits, savoury tannins and freshness. A wine of genuine charm, balance and elegance.

Vino Masters Score: 96/100   ★★★★★  A wine of genuine charm, balance and elegance.
