Deep crimson with a vibrant purple core. The nose is youthful and energetic, showing blackberry, ripe plum and dark cherry, with a slightly reductive edge that adds interest. There is very little obvious oak on the aromatics, allowing the fruit to remain front and centre.

The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and generous, with red berries, currants and rhubarb carried by supple, cranberry-like tannins and fresh acidity. Currants and spice build through the middle, with just a flicker of oak appearing in the background to add complexity rather than weight.

The finish is smooth and persistent, with blackberry, plum, spice and a touch of chocolate lingering nicely.
