Château Bourdieu n°1 Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux 2018

Château Bourdieu n°1 Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux 2018

Crimson red with a slight brown hue showing the beginnings of maturity.

The aromatics are wonderfully funky and earthy, with barnyard and rustic paddock characters sitting over redcurrant fruit and liquorice bullets. Beneath that savoury complexity there is still plenty of brightness and life.

The palate is long and savoury, with dark currants, spice, earth, minerality, clove and liquorice. Christmas cake characters build through the finish, which remains long, even and deeply savoury.

A distinctive, mature Bordeaux with funk, brightness and plenty of personality.
