Earlier this year we called in at Palliser and Belen, the cellar door manager, set the tone for the next 48 hours in Martinborough. Super enthusiastic, and a great way to start the Vino Masters tour. A definite highlight.

Crimson. Pretty as a rose garden. Lavender, fresh herbs, ethereal red fruits. Fresh crunchy cherry and berry, geranium, and a slight whole-bunch character. Soft, gentle, not extracted. A little viscosity, no push. You can taste the care. It is just right. Excellent value.

Vino Masters Score: 95/100 ★★★★★ Pretty Martinborough Pinot with rose, geranium and a gentle whole-bunch line. Amazing.
