Bright cordial red. The Hills in a glass: crunchy strawberry, raspberry and red cherry, then mulberry, rhubarb, a flick of violet and spice.

Medium-bodied. Firm, ripe, with real texture and palate weight. Red fruit through the middle, a little whole-bunch stalk, savoury earth and dried herb underneath. Fine tannin, bright acid. The finish is savoury and lingering, strawberry and rhubarb still there. Cool enough to stay taut, ripe enough to drink now. Duck, mushrooms.
