Seedling Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Coonawarra

Seedling Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Coonawarra

Nine years on. Primary fruit has gone. If you like aged wines, this is for you. Dark core, crimson-brown rim. A melting pot of tea, liquorice and dark chocolate. All savoury now. Tar, spice, not a lot of fruit left. Still has power and intensity. More like a Barolo than a young Coonawarra Cabernet. Good bones. Needs food.

Vino Masters Score: 91/100 ★★★★ An aged Coonawarra Cabernet for lovers of secondary fruits: tea, tar, liquorice and savoury power.
