Dog Ridge ‘Wylpena Vineyard’ Reserve Chardonnay 2024

Dog Ridge ‘Wylpena Vineyard’ Reserve Chardonnay 2024

From a remarkable 100-year-old Chardonnay vineyard originally established by Chateau Reynella. Wylpena is an indigenous name meaning “place of bent fingers.” The wine was 100% barrel-fermented in French oak barriques (7% new, 93% seasoned) with battonage and extended malolactic contact.

Pale gold. The aromatics display white peach, citrus and toasty oak with a gentle creamy complexity. The palate is full-flavoured and generous, with a creamy, buttery texture. Fine grapefruit threads cut through the richness, bringing freshness. Toasty oak is well integrated, supporting the stone fruit and citrus. A rich, textured Reserve Chardonnay.

Vino Masters Score: 95/100 ★★★★★ A superb old-vine Chardonnay that is rich and buttery.
