Deep, opaque garnet with an almost black core. Blackberry, black plum and ripe blueberry, then dark chocolate, liquorice and sweet baking spice. Super-rich and flavour-packed. Plush dark fruit, mocha, cocoa, anise and savoury spice. Fine, velvety tannin, French oak folded through. Fresh savoury acid, exceptionally long finish.

Put on Miles Davis’ So What, pull the cork and press play.

Vino Masters Score: 98/100 ★★★★★ A magnificent old-vine Barossa Shiraz of extraordinary concentration, elegance and world-class cellaring potential.
