Deep garnet with a crimson rim, the nose is wonderfully aromatic, showing red cherry, kirsch and dark berry fruits alongside dried herbs and white pepper.
The palate is medium-bodied combining supple red and dark fruit with bright acidity and persistent, fine-grained tannins. The 13 months in barrel, including 30% new oak, brings measured notes of sweet spice and subtle oak structure while preserving the wine's cool-climate definition. A long finish carries dark red fruits plus black olive, pepper, dried herbs, savoury fruit and minerality edges.
