Chaffey Bros Omnia Nova Old Vine Syrah 2023 Barossa

Chaffey Bros. Nova Old Vine Syrah 2023
Barossa

Deep ruby with formidable colour intensity.

The aroma is complex and layered; blackberry and dark plum wrapped in violet florals, cracked spice and a savoury earthiness that speaks of vine age and place.

The palate is structured and commanding, delivering concentrated fruit framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and beautifully balanced acidity. There is undeniable old-vine depth through the mid-palate; density without heaviness, power without excess. Despite the challenges of the 2023 vintage, the wine stands tall. A subtle green bean edge quietly whispers, “Yes, I made it through.”

The finish is long, savoury and persistent, carrying both Barossa richness and a lift of Eden Valley freshness.

Serious, age-worthy Syrah with confidence and personality. Only 270 dozen produced, and every bottle feels deliberate.

Bob McLean would be proud, lads.
