Penny’s mum and grandfather are lethal trained police dogs, and Penny was the surprise when their owners took on a rescue Maremma that came of age early. She guards the house, so bottles go to the post office, unless you are special, like the team from Z Wine.

This Z Wine was no accident. Cool vintage. Local confidence. 14.7%. The family tree would be proud.

Dark core, bright purple rim. Blue fruit, red and dark currant, liquorice and fennel.

Medium to full. Rich, textured, flavour stacked. Dark fruit and black olive tapenade at the core. Oak folded through. Dark chocolate and savoury spice on a long finish. Unmistakably Barossa.
