Deep, opaque crimson with an inky purple core. The bouquet is intensely expressive, revealing blackberry, black plum and blueberry alongside dark chocolate, liquorice and cracked black pepper. Subtle aromas of cedar, espresso, graphite and dried herbs add further layers of complexity, suggesting considerable depth even at barrel stage. The palate is powerful and concentrated, with dense dark fruit supported by finely structured tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Rich notes of mocha, cocoa and savoury spice build through the mid-palate, while vibrant acidity maintains freshness and precision. The finish is exceptionally long and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, pepper and mineral complexity. Even as a barrel sample, the wine displays remarkable balance and outstanding potential.
