Schild ‘Three Springs’ Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley
Schild ‘Three Springs’ Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley
$180, and it drinks like the homestead block it comes from.
The high hills of Rowland Flat, super premium fruit amongst rolling red gums.
Now lets talk Big Barossa! Deep, opaque crimson. Blackberry, black plum and blueberry, then liquorice and dark chocolate. Mocha, cedar, earth and a lick of vanilla. Rich and full. Dense dark fruit on polished tannin, cocoa and spices through the middle. Fresh enough underneath all that weight, then a long finish of blackberry, liquorice and savoury chocolate. Power with shape and richness. Slightly old school but very cool.
Vino Masters Score: 98/100 ★★★★★ Outstanding richness and quality. Cellar it if you can leave it alone.
