I thought Eos was the Greek island I visited at 27 on the around-the-world trip. That was Ios. Close enough. This would go well with the chargrilled octopus at dinner, before the clubs open at 11.

Deep crimson with a purple core. Blackberry, blackcurrant and dark plum, then spice, cedar and chocolate.

Cabernet for structure and cassis, Shiraz for richness. Full and generously textured. Ripe tannin, balanced acid, oak in its place. Long, powerful finish of dark fruit and spice.
