Zuber Estate Shiraz 2021, Heathcote

Deep, opaque crimson. Aromas of blackberry, black plum and blueberry are layered with dark chocolate, liquorice, cracked pepper and subtle earthy spice. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with concentrated dark fruit framed by firm textured tannins. Ripe blackberries build through the mid-palate, complemented by mocha, cocoa and savoury spice. Balanced acidity provides definition beneath the wine's considerable fruit weight, while the finish is long and persistent with lingering dark fruit, pepper and chocolate. It’s 15% on the back label but I reckon it’s north of that!
