Deep crimson with an inky core. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum are layered with dark chocolate, licorice and cedar. Hints of black pepper, star anise and subtle oak spice add further complexity.
The palate is full-bodied showing generous layers of blackberry, blueberry and dark plum supported by fine, polished tannins. Notes of mocha, cocoa and savoury spice build through the mid-palate, while balanced acidity provides freshness and length.
